Kundapur, Feb 17: A person named Nagendra Acharya from Chittoor near Kollur in the taluk committed suicide on the night of Sunday February 15 by hanging himself from a tree.
He had left home on Sunday morning, but had not returned in the evening as usual. Thereafter, his family members had searched for him in the region but in vain. On Monday morning, some people said they had seen the body of a person hanging from a tree in the thicket near his home. His family members checked and found that it belonged to Nagendra.
It is said that Nagendra was suffering from certain psychological problems since sometime, and treatments had not had any positive affects on his condition. His brother, Ratnakar Acharya, in a report filed in Kollur police station, said that Nagendra would have committed suicide because frustration over his health condition.
