Mangaluru, Feb 18: Karnataka Tulu Sahithya Acadamy has organised 'Tulu mina dana' programme which will be held at AB Shetty Jubilee Hall here on Sunday February 22 as revealed at a press meet.
Health and family welfare minister U T Khader will inaugurate the event at 9.30 am and Karnataka Tulu Sahithya Acadamy president Janaki M Brahmawara will preside over the function. Dr M Narayana Shetty will be the chief guest. Naleen Kumar Kateel, member of parliament, Moideen Bawa, MLA Mangaluru north, Ganesh Karnik, MLC, Mahabala Maarla, Mayor MCC and Jaganath Bala, president DK journalist association will be the honorary guests.
A debate and poetry session has been organised. 'Ponjolena suthormeda tulu kadambari' will be conducted by B M Rohini, Dr Laxmi G Prasad, Devika Nagesh who will talk about the Sathikamale, Mithabail Yamunakke, Parabaltha Paripalelu novels. In the second session Dr Mahalinga Bhat, Muddu Moodubelle, Baasuma kodagu and Thamma Laxman will talk about 'Tulu nataka rangabhumi buled bathina saadi'.
In 'Kabithe daisar' a poetry session Karnataka tulu sahithya acadamy's famous poems of former and present poets will be performed through dance. Professor B A Vivek Rai will preside over the session. Dr Vamaana Nandavara, Dr Palthady Ramakrishna Achar, M K Sitharam Kulal, Umanatha A Kotian, Janaki M Bramahavara, are the poets.
Valedictory will be held at 4.30 pm. District incharge minister Ramanatha Rai will preside over the function. MLA J R lobo, MLC Ivan Dsouza, Deputy Commissioner of DK A B Ibrahim, Lion Kishore D Shetty, Dr Chinnappa Gowda will be present at the event. After the valedictory function 'Kombuda Madimaye' dance performance will be performed by Suresh Attavar and team. During the programme Sharada Vidyalaya Kodialbail and Zenkara fork dance and Tulu songs will be performed.
Janaki M Bramhavara, president, Chandrahasa rai, registrar Karnataka Yulu Sahithya Acadamy, Roopakala Alva, Mohan Kadri Members Tulu Minadana Kudla and Vedavathi were present at the press meet.
