Kundapur, Feb 22: A person who was accused of raping a young dumb woman has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.
Yogesh from Mandya is the accused.
As per details, Yogesh was working as a driver in a resort near Byndoor where the victim also worked. Some months back, he raped the victim in one of the rooms in the resort with the promise of marrying her.
Presently the victim is 7 months pregnant.
The accused whom the police arrested has denied the charges. He has said that he is ready for any medical tests to prove his innocence. He refused to marry the pregnant victim.
Byndoor police who have registered the case are investigating. Meanwhile the accused has been sent to judicial custody.
