Shivamogga unrest: Four more taken into custody from Kundapur

Kundapur, Feb 24: Shivamogga police have taken four more persons from Kodi near Kundapur into their custody on Monday, February 23 in relation to the Shivamogga unrest which took place last week.

Arshad Ahmed, Asib, Niyal and Mayyadi are the persons taken into custody. All of them are from Kodi. Only on Saturday, the same police had taken Hanif from Kodi into their custody.

Hanif, after interrogations is said to have revealed the names of the four named persons. The Shivamogga police who arrived to Kundapur on Monday evening managed to apprehend the four with the assistance from the local police.

As per some reports, these persons have been allegedly involved in a photo incident involving some girls. Asib is alleged to have played a role in the recent communal clashes, as per the information received by police.

The total number of persons from Kodi taken into custody in relation to Shivamogga unrest hence goes up to five.
