Lourdes School celebrates 'Little Mozart' kindergarten day

Mangaluru, Mar 2: A unique programme 'Little Mozart' was organised by the Kindergarten section of Lourdes central school on February 27 at Bejai church hall.

The tiny tots were all set to mesmerize the audience, dressed in colourful costumes which created an ambience of enthusiasm.

The chief guest of the day, Corrin Rasquinha, social worker and founder of White Doves, Fr Wilson L Vitus D’Souza, the Manager of Loudes central school, Fr Michael Lobo, Principal, Belita Mascarenhas,vice principal, Nirmal D’Souza ,Bejai Parish Parishad vice president, Gayathri Shetty, vice president of PTEC were all welcomed with a thunderous applause by the august gathering and the little Lourdites.






The programme began by invoking God’s blessing with a prayer song followed by a welcome dance. Ms Lydia D’Souza Coordinator of the Kindergarten department accorded a warm welcome to everyone who were gathered to witness the programme and also introduced the chief guest to the audience.

The action song by KG 1 depicted the beauty of the environment and the need for its conservation. It highlighted the values which the present generation should imbibe to preserve nature’s beauty for the next generation. This was followed by a brief presentation of annual report by the Principal Fr Michael Lobo on various co curricular and academic activities conducted during the year 2014-15. KG 2 student gracefully performed the folk dance which was followed by the Circus-The Pint Size Circus by the tiny tots thrilled the audience and echoes of laughter filled the ambience.

The audience were astonished to watch the wonderful Bollywood performance by the students of KG 2.

The chief guest in her speech congratulated the school for putting up a unique performance and also emphasized the values which the children should imbibe.

The manager mentioned in his presidential address that it was a feast day for all the Little Lourdites and also acknowledged the hard work of the teachers.

The KG 2 students performed a filmy dance. Vote of thanks was delivered by the tiny tots. The programme concluded with the performance tableau –‘Our Lady of Lourdes’ and the school anthem.
