Mangaluru, Mar 8: St Aloysius Evening College celebrated its 49th college day on March 7, Saturday at 6 pm at the college grounds.

Capt. Gajesh Karnik, Opposition Chief Whip and MLC government of Karanata was the chief guest. Fr Denzil Lobo, rector, St Aloysius College Institutions, was the president of the programme.

Chief Guest Capt. Ganesh Karnik congratulated the students for choosing the evening college. He also lauded the evening college students for their hard work during the day and studies in the evening.

Principal Dr Manohar V Serrao presented the college report. Convener of the college day Kavitha B. Avinash welcomed the gathering.

Vice-principal Mr Ravi Shetty, office bearers of the Students’ Council were present on the occasion.

The formal programme was followed by a unique cultural programme which displayed the multi-faceted talents of the students.

Prizes were distributed on this occasion to the student achievers in different fields.
