Bantwal, Mar 11: A woman from Pandelu in Kula village near Vittal drowned in a water storage tank on Tuesday March 10. She has been identified as Lolakshi (54), wife of Koragappa Poojary from Pandelu.
At around 6 am on Tuesday, Lolakshi had gone out of her home to check whether the water being pumped is filling the overhead water tank in the garden. She did not return even after lapse of considerable time.
Her son, Naveen, got concerned about this aspect, and went in search of her. He found that his mother's body was inside the tank. A report stating that the woman had accidentally slipped into the tank and fallen and died of asphyxiation was filed in Vittal police station.
