Bantwal, March 12: “Instead of restricting those who protest against injustice in administrative machinery, let the concerned ban PFI and KFD organizations”, said Satyajit Surathkal, state co-convener of Hindu Jagarana Vedike.

He was speaking in a large protest meeting held by Bolanthur Hindu Janajagruthi Samithi opposing what they said the communal terrorism. The meeting was held on Wednesday, March 11.








“The harassment by a particular community against Hindu organizations has increased. The government should think of curtailing their freedom. If not, the alert Hindu society is prepared to answer them.” he said.

He urged the district in charge minister not to please the minorities.“With that the might of the fundamentalists will flourish and Hindu society should prepare itself for struggle”, he said.

Advocate Asha Prasad speaking on the occasion, said that one should not hesitate to retaliate the actions of people who show disrespect to women.Parents of those who involve in atrocities should advise their children. If not we know how to teach them”, she said.

State BJP vice president Sulochana G K Bhat and Pravin of Udupi spoke on the occasion. Zilla panchayat member Chennappa Kotian, Taluk panchayat member Ananda Shamboor, Dinesh Umtooru, leaders Raviraj B C Road, Rathnakar Shetty, Ramadas Bantwal, Dixit, Jayarama Rai, Krishnappa Poojary, Balakrishna Serkala, Venkatramana Ballukuraya, Sudhakar Rai and others were present.

Former APMC president Nemiraj Rai who led the protests, welcomed and proposed Vote of thanks. Radhakrishna Adyantaya compered the programme.

Protest Rally

A protest Rally was taken from Kokkepuni to Narsha maidan. Hundreds ofprotesters shouted slogans against harassment to women. The protest meeting was held from Narsha Maida junction. A memorandum was submitted to Bantwal police circle inspector Belliappa. “A particular community is conducting terrorist activities. The community harasses young girls, illegally transports cows and slaughters them, consumes drugs, peddles drugs and indulges in hooliganism. It has spoiled the sleep of the villagers.

A group of nearly 25 young men of a particular community have indulged in them. Some of their names are mentioned in the letter”, they said.They have also urged to arrest all the suspects who harassed the teacher.

Bantwal ASP Rahul Kumar guided the security arrangements. Bantwal Circle inspector Belliappa, SI Rakshit, Nanda Kumar, Lathesh Kumar and Chandrashekarayya led tight security.

    secondly who cares for these vultures..we have our own priorities of roti kapda n makaan... give them a broom in their hand for swachha samaja abhiyaan..
