Kolkata, March 23 (IANS): Six fresh cases of swine flu have been recorded in West Bengal, taking the total figure for the state to 442, a health official said on Monday.
Principal Secretary (health and family welfare) Malay Kumar De said there were no deaths since Friday.
"The toll is 24. Six new cases were detected since Sunday. The total number of cases is now 442," De told IANS.
De also said the influenza is "on its way out".
"The cases will gradually decline in the coming weeks".
He said 324 patients have been cured and discharged from various hospitals in the state and 94 were currently being treated for the H1N1 virus.
