Alia, Siddarth and Fawad to be directed by Shakun Batra in KJo's film

Mumbai, Mar 25: Film maker and director Karan Johar has let the cat out of the bag on the cast of their soon to go on floors venture titled 'Kapoor and Sons' to be directed by Shakun Batra. The cast includes Siddarth Malhotra and his alleged girl friend Alia Bhatt along with 'Khoobsurat' actor Fawad Khan.

Karan tweeted, A modern family film with a love triangle embedded in it...KAPOOR and SONS directed by @shakunbatra.....cast coming up next...." following it up with, KAPOOR and SONS starring @S1dharthM @_fawadakhan_ @aliaa08 and @chintskap @KapoorAndSons @DharmaMovies

Shakun Batra who is known for directing 'Ek Main Aur Ek Tu' with Kareena Kapoor and Imraan Khan in the lead. He is also known for shooting the self-deprecating humorous video on Alia Bhatt, with AIB, titled 'Alia Bhatt - Genius of the Year'. This will be his second venture under the banner of Dharma Productions.

Rishi Kapoor too, it is said, is a part of the cast and will be playing the 90 year old patriarchal head of a dysfunctional family. Kapoor and Sons is said to start with shooting in June, this year and has allegedly dating couple Siddarth and Alia playing siblings in the movie. With all three, Siddarth , Alia and Fawad being grandchildren to Rishi Kapoor.
