M'luru: Antidrug awareness streetplay organized by BIG FM

Mangaluru, Mar 28: 92.7 BIG FM and Akhila Karnataka Janjagruti Vedike (Mangaluru and Udupi) with the blessings of Rajashri Dr Veerendra Heggade organised street plays on anti drug awarness in various colleges in Mangaluru and Udupi.









It's a year long programme. Throughout the year various events regarding antidrug awareness will be taking place. Culmination of first phase of street play was performed at City Municipal Corporation premises on March 26 by Besant Evening College students.

Mayor Jacintha Alfred, vice mayor Purushottam Chitrapur, members of City Municipal Corporation Mangaluru, Barke sub inspector S S Meti, Rj Errol from 92.7 BIG FM , Ismail from Janajagruti Vedike and members of Dharmasthala Grama Abhivridhi Yojane, students and management of Besant Evening College, principal Carmelita Govias were present.

Speaking on the occassion, Mayor Jacintha Alfred said, "It is a good initiative by 92.7 Big FM and Janajagruti Vedike. Such initiatives can help make a drug free society." She also appreciated the street play performance by Besant Evening College.

Rj Errol welcomed and thanked the gathering.
