Mangalore, Feb 26: Even though fate tried to interfere in a marriage that was to be held at Kateel on Sunday, it went ahead for the couple to live happily hereafter.

The bride hailing from Mijar and the party made of her family members were travelling a van towards Kateel via Sampige, Niddodi and Moorukaveri. It went of control of the driver on the uphill near the Bapuji school at Niddodi Kallakumeru Yampedadi, moved back and overturned into a gorge.

About a dozen occupants of the van, including the bride, were injured, one of them severely. However, the bride, after the initial shock, straightened herself after the first aid and is said to have made it in time at the wedding pandal to meet with the muhurat deadline.
