Mangalore: Karavali Ale Editor B V Seetharam Arrested

Mangalore, Mar 4: B V Seetharam, the daring editor of the famous Kannada evening daily Karavali Ale was arrested on Saturday night. He, along with his wife Rohini were arrested and taken to the Panambur police station.
The arrest was done following complaints filed by Jain organizations against B V Seetharam. The organizations had alleged that the articles on Munishree Tarunsagar had hurt their religious sentiments.
The editor and his wife were produced before the court on Saturday night.
The complaint also alleged that several reports and articles on the visit of Munishree Tarunsagar and the digambaras which were published in the newspaper had hurt the Jain community.
