Mangaluru, Apr 10: Mangaluru north MLA Mohiuddin Bawa conducted a press meet in his office at Mangaluru City Corporation on Friday April 10, informing about various projects being implemented in his constituency.
Addressing the press, he said, “Responding to my petition given on 26-8-2014, honourable chief minister has sanctioned Rs two crore for development of roads, drainage and other basic amenities. Rs 3 crore will be spent for development of wards of Mangaluru north constituency coming under Mangaluru city corporation”.
He further added, “As of now I have got 12 crore grant for minor irrigation development project. For Billava community 2.27 crore is sanctioned and 1.76 lacs is sanctioned for Ambedkar Bhawan. I have also got many project works for temples, church and masjids in my constituency. 2.28 crore is sanctioned for construction of building in government college at Kavoor. Work of Surathkal market is in progress. Kavoor and Krishnapura market proposal are given to MUDA".
Asked about his stand on MRPL's new plant, he said, “I have requested union minister Dharmendra Pradhan to relocate the people of Jokatte area with good package".
