Yogyakarta (Indonesia), Mar 7: At least 22 people were killed after a Garuda Indonesia plane burst into flames on landing in the city of Yogyakarta on Wednesday, the airline said.
The new figure revised down an earlier toll of 49 from a government official.
The dead included 21 passengers and a crewmember, Wiranto Wooryono, who was the airplane's purser, Garuda said in a statement.
Garuda said 19 passengers died at the scene while one died at an air force hospital and another succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.
The airline said 112 passengers survived the crash and all but three were injured and being treated at various hospitals in Yogyakarta.
