Udupi: BJP conference scheduled in Kaup on Apr 19

Udupi, Apr 16: Kuyiladi Suresh Nayak, president of BJP Kaup constituency said that a BJP workers conference is scheduled in Kaup market area on April 19 at 3 pm.  This was revealed at a news conference held in the BJP party office on Wednesday April 15.

“The congress party is spreading false propaganda through protests regarding the union government’s land acquisition bill.  The main aim of the conference is to create awareness among the people regarding the bill.  A befitting reply will be given to the congress propaganda in the conference,” he said.

“Former chief minister and MP B S Yeddyurappa will inaugurate the conference. MP Shobha Karandlaje, Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLAs V Sunil Kumar, C T Ravi, member of Vidhana Parishat, Kota Srinivas Poojary and
others will be present at the meeting,” he said.

“Eleven grama panchayats in Kaup constituency are in favour of the BJP and the party is trying to bring 22 panchayats under its arm.  29 local committees in Kaup constituency on booth level and the party activists have united to make the party win. They will now struggle harder than they did in the previous elections,” he said.

Collection of people’s opinions :
“The minister has given statements regarding conversion of Kaup to municipal council.  As the people will be deprived of certain benefits and rumors are being heard about it, it is better to collect people’s opinion,” opined Suresh Nayak.

Former minister Vasanth V Salian, former MLA Lalaji R Mendon, Udupi zilla panchayat member Katpadi Shanker Poojary, party leader businessman Suresh Shetty Gurme, constituency chief secretary Prakash Shetty Padebettu, Anil Kumar, Chandrahas Shetty, Vijaya Karkera, Anil Shetty Mallaru, Nazir Saheb, Navin S K, Gangadhar Suvarna, Praveen and others were present.
