Priyanka and Deepika v/s Madhuri and Aishwarya

Daijiworld Media Network - Entertainment

Mumbai, Apr 17: Madhuri and Aishwarya fairly scorched our TV screens with their grace and poise in the song Dola Re, and with Priyanka and Deepika dancing together in Bajirao Mastani, it just might be a matter of time before they too arrest just as many hearts.

The two dance sequences are similar in more ways than one. Both are Sanjay Leela Bhansali films. Both are embedded in a story just as historical as it is magical. Both share a love triangle. And finally both have actresses who have already proved their proficiency in the art of dance.

Therefore it seems only natural that Priyanka and Deepika's duet performance is awaited with bated breath. Priyanka shared her excitement on the micro blogging site twitter with the words, " Off to rehearsals!!! Let’s kill it @deepikapadukone ..along with our legs!! Haha.. #BajiraoMastani."

Priyanka will be playing Kashibai to Ranveer Singh's Peshwa Bajirao, who is known to have fallen in love with and married Mastani who was of Persian-Muslim origin. Marriage to the later got Bajirao a lot of flak from the other Hindu Brahmins of his time. The story goes on to narrate Bajrao bias between his wives to the point of neglect for his first wife Kashibai.

Will the dance cause as many ripples as Dola Re and will the movie replicate the success recorded by Devdas are questions that can only be answered once the movie releases in December this year.
