MP Shobha Karandlaje visits the residence of murdered woman

Kundapur, Apr 19: MP Shobha Karandlaje on Saturday April 18, visited the house of Indira, the woman who was recently raped and mercilessly murdered. She spoke to Ananda, the husband of the dead woman and expressed her condolences. She held a discussion with the local people and obtained more information on the gruesome incident.









Speaking to reporters, Karandlaje said that several women have been murdered in Kundapur and the locals have informed that the investigations into these were ineffective. “The murder of Indira was horrible and the SP has been requested to arrest the suspects immediately and investigate,” she said.

“Lack of street lights on the road near the sea shore and refusal to provide electricity to some houses giving excuses of CRZ is like snatching the basic rights of families,” she said. Karandlaje expressed anguish at not providing electricity to houses even when the street poles are near the house.

Udupi district BJP president Thingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, grama panchayat member Ravinra Dodmane, zilla panchayat member Geethanjali Suvarna, Kundapur constituency BJP president Rajesh Kaveri, Kundapur police circle inspector P M Diwaker, PSI Nasir Hussain, women’sassociation president Radha Das, social worker Ganesh Putran, and GaneshBhat were present.
