Sullia: knocked down by KSRTC bus, pedestrian passes away

Sullia, Apr 24: Aranthodu village near here witnessed an accident on Wednesday April 22 in which a pedestrian crossing the road was hit and killed by a bus of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).

The deceased has been identified as Raveendra (52), a resident of Uluvaru in Aranthodu. A bus bound for Mangaluru from Mysuru hit him. Raveendra, who got tossed some distance away due to the force of the speeding bus, suffered severe head injuries.

Raveendra was rushed to a hospital but died on the way. He is survived by wife, a son, and a daughter.
