Bantwal, Apr 25: A person committed suicide at Noojibail near Panaje Kody in Kolnadu village near Vittal in the taluk. The man, who ended his life on Thursday April 24, was fully drunk at the time, it is learnt.
Alphonse D'Souza (55), a resident of Pattumudi in Manchi village, who chose to commit suicide, reportedly was addicted to liquor. He often got drunk and fought with family members and neighbours, it is said.
He had left his home on Wednesday night and was never seen thereafter. On Thursday, his body was found hanging from a tree in Noojibail hillock in Kolnadu village.
