Resident of Volamogru village drowns when crossing canal

Puttur, Apr 27: In an incident which occurred at Ajjangala in Belandur village within Kadaba police station limits, a person slipped and fell into a canal. He was rescued from the canal but breathed his last while being shifted to a hospital. This unfortunate accident occurred on Sunday April 26.

The unfortunate victim of the accident has been identified as Suresh (46), a native of Bijala in Volamogru village. Since the last some years, he was working in the plantation of Uday Rai Madody at Ajjangala in Belandur village. Suresh lived in a shelter built by the side of the plantation.

Suresh was returning to his residence from the plantation after work on Sunday afternoon, when this incident occurred. He is survived by wife and a son.

A case was registered in Kadaba station about the incident.
