New Delhi, April 30 (IANS): A senior doctor of Safdurjung Hospital has been arrested for allegedly molesting a woman employee, police said on Thursday.
Naval Bhatia working with the sports injury centre was arrested on Wednesday for "inappropriately touching" a 24-year-old data-entry operator, police said.
The incident happened on April 7.
In the complaint registered on April 25, the woman has stated that she was also forced to touch male patients' private parts when she resisted doctor's advances and was also threatened with dismissal, said the police.
The medical superintendent of the hospital, Rajpal told IANS that the woman was not a permanent employee but on a contract.
"We have set up an inquiry against the doctor and action will be taken if he is found guilty," he said.
