Bantwal, May 2: In an incident which occurred at Devinagara in Punacha village near Vittal in the taluk on Friday May 1, a person committed suicide at his home by hanging himself.

Sadashiva (55), living at Shree Nilaya in Devinagara hanged himself from the roof beams of his home by using a shawl. A report about the incident was filed in Vittal police station.

It is said that Sadashiva was addicted to liquor. He also was going through mental tensions because of his mounting loan liability with banks.
