Youth dies after being hit by moving train at Shiroor

Kundapur, May 5: In a tragic incident, a youth died when he was hit by a moving train near Karikatte Shiroor railway station, here on Monday May 4.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Faizan (17), son of Habibullah resident, Shiroor.





Faizan was first year PU student at Shiroor Government College.

Faizan had gone near the railway track after having his lunch where the tragic accident took place. Hazrat Nizamuddin- Ernakollam Express hit him from the side. The impact was so powerful that his leg was cut into two pieces.

Source said that he was crossing the railway track around 2 pm when the fatal accident took place.

His father had passed away 15 years ago and he was the only son. He is survived by his only sister and mother.

After the post-mortem at Byndoor police station, the body was handed over to the family members. A case has been registered at Byndoor police station.
