Old Goa, Mar 28: The procession of Saints was held in the precincts of St Andrew's Church here and it was celebrated with great enthusiasm by commemorating the great saints who had visited Goa over the last 500 years pursuing their holy mission.

The annual procession is taken out with 60 statues of different saints who had visited Goa over the years. The procession is said to be the only of its kind in the whole of Asia.
St Assisi, St Manuel, St Francis Xavier, St Andrew and others are remembered on this day.
The procession begins from the church and winds its way for 5 kms around the village of Goa Velha, which is situated about 13 kms from Panaji.
