Mangalore, Apr 2: A convention of JD (S) workers from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts was held here on Sunday April 1.
Speaking on the occasion, JD (S) spokesperson Y S V Datta said that chief minister H D Kumaraswamy’s stay in villages will be beneficial to other officials also in knowing the difficulties of the underprivileged.
He referred to the recent incident in Mysore wherein supporters of former deputy chief minister Siddharamaiah had protested for ignoring GP president at a foundation stone laying ceremony and alleged that the incident was all a drama to grab the attention of Congress.
The convention was inaugurated by JD (S) general secretary Mahima Patel.
Among those present were JD (S) leaders Amarnath Shetty, Deviprasad Shetty, Balaraj Rai, Subbaiah Shetty and others.
