Mangalore, Apr 4: Bangalore-based Dr B R Ambedkar Pratishtana has decided to meet chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Friday April 6 to urge the fulfilment of various demands.

Addressing a press meet here on Monday April 2, Pratishtana general secretary Muninarayana M said that organisation had asked the government to fulfil demands such as free cardiac treatment up to Rs 1 lac for poor patients and children.

He alleged that misappropriation of funds has taken place in the distribution of various government schemes and said that the organisation will urge the government to take action in the matter.

The chief minister had promised to provide five acre of land to dalit families but so far nothing has been done in this regard. The other demands of the organisation include welfare schemes for slum dwellers, financial assistance to the educated unemployed and increase in the number of fair price shops.

Among those present were Pratishtana president Shivappa and district chief K Shalu.
