Moodbidri, Apr 4: One needs to inculcate the Shravana culture in order to become a true Jain, said Jain scholar Ujwal Patni addressing the Shravan Sanksriti Sammelan held here on Tuesday April 3.
Patni said that one becomes Jain by his deeds and not merely by birth. He urged members of the Jain community to follow the principles of Mahaveer and Teertankaras.
The Sammelan was organised as part of the Rathotsava celebrations of Tribhuvana Tilaka Chudamani Basadi here.
Among those present was Sri Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swami of Moodbidri Jain Math.
