Mangalore, Apr 4: Integral Yoga Satsanga, a public charitable trust, will organise a state-level yogasana competition on Sunday April 8 at Sharada Vidyalaya here at 9.30 am.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday April 4, Satsanga president V L Rego informed that the competition will be inaugurated by BSNL chief manager Sudeendra Kumar

Mayor Vijaya Arun will preside over the programme while professor and head of the department of dermatology, KSHEMA, Dr Jerome Pinto will be the chief guest.

The competition will be open to people of all age groups including children and elderly. There will be ten events in the men’s and women’s categories. The top ten will compete for ‘champion of champions’ title on the same day and the winners will be awarded cash and other prizes.

The organisation has conducted 292 yoga camps to date.

Among those present at the press meet were trust treasurer M B Puranik, secretary Dr P Anantakrishna Bhat, member of the organising committee Henry Mendonca and chief coordinator Kushalappa G N.
