New web platform to support short films


New Delhi, June 2 (IANS): If you have a knack of weaving a story out of your ideas and emotions with a flair of giving it a visual translation, head to bombaycasting.com. With the aim to inject enthusiasm among budding filmmakers, the online casting portal will be commissioning 20 short films to different production houses and new age filmmakers.

The portal plans to present a platform for a clear path for filmmakers. For these short films, bombaycasting.com will not only provide funds and logistics for the short film, but will also provide innovative marketing support needed to gain momentum, read a statement.

The portal will also use its contacts to promote the films in the festival circuit.

There are just two criteria to get noticed by the platform -- extraordinary script and talent from bombaycasting.com only.

A Dubai-based production house Leading Star Entertainment is the first to get its support. They pitched a script to the creative team of bombaycasting.com. After wowing the creative team, Mannu and Umesh Sharma, the people behind Leading Star Entertainment, are preparing to shoot the film in the UAE.
