QVC lift Qalco trophy in second round of tournament

Doha, Jun 3: In division II of the 2ND Qalco floodlit cricket tournament 2015, QVC got the better of Al Zaman Exchange when them by 9 runs.




























First to bat, QVC were all out totaling 94 runs in 11.5 overs. Mushir was not out on 17 runs with 2 sixes, Bangira scored 11 runs with a six and Abu Backer 9 runs with a six.

Prakash and Sanjeeva took 2 wickets each while Shameera, Basheer, Sana, Aziz, Lathif, Sena and Ruwan took a wicket each.

In reply Al Zaman Exchange confidently chased the target of 95 being 45 for the loss of 4 wickets in the first 6 overs. However good bowling by QVC saw Al Zaman Exchange defeated all out for 85 runs in 11.2 overs. Basheer was run out for 20 runs with 2 sixes, Ruwan was bowled out by Kanchana for 10 runs including a boundary, Sana and Sena 8 runs each with a six each.

Tahir and Kamran took 2 wickets each while Mushir, Jameel, Sultan, Faizal and Kanchana took a wicket each.

Best bowler : Jameel of QVC
Best all rounder : Kanchana of QVC
Best wicket keeper : Renil of Al Zaman Exchange

At the well attended prize distribution ceremony, prizes were given away by Fawad Rana, managing director of Qatar Lubricants Co and guests of honour Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary and Syed Adil Anis.

The organizers arranged complimentary refreshments, tea and lucky draw for all the spectators.
