Tulu comedy drama 'Paniyere Aavandina' enthralls Muscat

Muscat, Jun 4: The much awaited hilarious dram/palay,'Paniyere Aavandina', (That cannot be expressed) was staged at Hotel Alfalaj – Grand Hall on May 22, presented by Kudla Friends Muscat in association with Majan Events.











































The venue was tightly packed by the Tuluvites, attending from all over Oman, which witnessed the popularity of the lead role Devidas Kapikad and his ‘Bale Cha Parka’ team. Yet another endeavor of Kudla Friends Muscat as they treated the ‘Tulu community’ the mother of all communities in Karavali-Karnataka, the South Kanara belt of India, by bringing all together once again for celebrating the culture through Tulu tradition. This tradition of culminating the unity of communities through aesthetic sports or cultural events, has been habitual to Yuvaraj, Suraj and Srikanth for the purpose they are strongly united as friends, since the inception of KMF in 2011.

The show curtain was raised at 07:00 pm as the prevalent lady Jaya Ramesh took the centre stage anchoring the first part of the program. On behalf of Kudla Friends, Suraj Rebello welcomed the gathering.

As the theatre drama commenced, the audience were treated to endless giggling enjoying the rib tickling comedy.

'Paniyere Aavandina' is a story wound around our day to day life. It depicts the instances or real life incidents that we encounter or that are hard to express or discuss in seeking a solution. As well said, 'A problem well stated is a problem half solved', this adage is well practiced by most of us, whilst seeking solutions or remedies to solving a problem and this was dramatized in a hilarious way by the team .

Nevertheless, in many cases, we normally do not wish to share or reveal them fearing any untoward result. Such thoughts get suppressed in our hearts and they endure asphyxia leading to anxieties within ourselves.

This element of mystery in 'Paniyere Aavandina' about an untold incident, creating suspense with high drama and comedy, kept the audience rooted to their seats till the end. At the conclusion, a thought provoking appendage message sealed by the lead actor Devidas Kapikad and his team, enhanced the quality of the ‘play’.

It is the privilege to treat the audience of Muscat with a stupendo – fantabulous theatre, 'Paniyere Aavandina', and this has been accomplished by the trio KFM. This tulu comedy drama, penned by the well-known writer 'Thelikede Bolli' (Light of Laughter), was staged by Devdas Kapikad  along with the talented  Cha Parka Team, Mangaluru.

The story, creation, direction, acting and vocal music, for this play were rendered by the laughing star Devdas Kapikad himself and co-ordinated by Sharmila Kapikad. His talent was well appreciated by all drama lovers and the Cha Parka team is no stranger to tulu drama lovers worldwide. Devdas Kapikad and his tryst with drama and its various nuances in the form of acting, singing, directing, penning script lines, span three decades or more. This record and popularity has drawn the entire tuluvites from Oman under one roof to enjoy and blast the roof with the laughter. Though most of the dramas, staged by the team, have a major element of comedy, Devidas Kapikkad ensured to convey    a strong social message interspersed  with striking emotions and this approach compliments to a great extent to stand out among other plays.

Upon completion, rampant ace anchor Dilip Correa took the centre stage to move ahead with the felicitations that were much needed as a courtesy for the organizers.

The drama team and well-wishers were honoured and acknowledged by the organizers Srikanth, Yurvaraj and Suraj, through floral bouquets for their support and contribution for the success of this event.

On behalf of KFM Suraj thanked one and all, specially Divakar Shetty who was responsible for a superb stage setting for this wonderful drama.

Devdas was overwhelmed by the response of the people of Muscat and shared his emotions that touched the heart of the entire audience present at the venue. The organizers felt a burping satisfaction, as every tuluvite enjoyed the roaring comedy, accordingly socio-emotional message imparted by Devdas Kapikad and his team through, 'Paniyere Aavandina’ had made an impact on the minds of people and boggled them, as they left the venue.

On May 22 evening, with yet another epistle of a complete comedy treat, Kudla Friends trios Yuvraj Salian, Suraj Rebello and Srikanth Shetty, pulled out the people from the pressure filled life to a happier momentous life, thereby climbing the ladder of success by winning the hearts of every Mangalurean belonging to the tulu community all over Oman.
