SRK lookalike, 'naughtier' Anil - B-Town mania in KL

Kuala Lumpur, June 5 (IANS): If a Shah Rukh Khan lookalike managed to draw attention in this Malaysian city, there was Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor grooving to his star nephew Arjun Kapoor’s track; and veteran actor Anupam Kher being afraid of words like ‘legend' on Day 1 of the 16th edition of the 'International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend and Awards’.

The opening day of the gala on Friday was packed with drama and entertainment. Here are some momentous moments:

Who's that SRK duplicate?

If not the real King Khan, people of Kuala Lumpur were thrilled to see his lookalike outside the venue JW Marriott. He sat in a mini van and posed with children and adults too. Asked why they chose to get photographed with the duplicate, one of the enthusiastic boys said: “I love SRK and he looks so much like him. So what if he is not the original? Though I really want the real Shah Rukh to come here.”

After creating a buzz, the lookalike went away in the vehicle.

Legend, who me?

Now we know what scares Anupam Kher!

The veteran actor, who has been in the film industry for 31 years, said that he is frightened of words like “legend” and “thespian”.

“I am a newcomer just like Anil Kapoor,” said the 60-year-old.

Who's naughtier - Arjun or uncle Anil?

Arjun Kapoor's spontaneous jokes may portray him as a naughty boy, but his uncle Anil Kapoor finds himself to be a notch higher.

Arjun - naughty? No, said his uncle Anil.

“I am naughtier,” said the father of actress Sonam Kapoor.

Arjun, on the other hand, finds the “Race” star more “jhakaas” than him.
