Chennai, Jun 18: Simbu's first look for his upcoming movie titled Kaan has been released and it is quite a looker. The poster shows Simbu as the epitome of Godly devotion which is reportedly an integral aspect of the character that he is playing in the movie. Kaan means forest and apparently a significant portion of the movie has been shot amidst the dense foliage of a forest.

The poster has garnered a lot of attention and positive reviews, prompting the hitherto popular romance actor to tweet, "Super happy with the response #KAANFirstLook ...Special thanks to fans for the love and support. Neenga illama naan illa #blessed."

The actor is cast alongside actresses Tapsee Pannu, Catherine Tresa, Telugu actor Jagapthi Babu and Suresh. The movie itself is described by the makers to be an action adventure sort and Simbu plays the role of a man who is a staunch devotee of Lord Muruga.

The movie has been produced by Selvaraghavan's wife Geetha and Siddarth Rao under the banner of Glo studios. Tapsee Pannu is reportedly donning the mantle of a police official in the movie, and this is her first time playing a cop. Though the first look has sparked many rumours as to the possible story, the actual plot itself is under tight wraps and Selvaraghavan seems determined to tell the tale when the movie releases.
