From Huchcha to Ranna to Bulupu - Sudeep's list of remakes continues

Bangalore, Jun 18: Sudeep seems to living up to his well earned moniker of 'Remake Raja' by continuing with his list of movies that have been remade from films that have already been made in other languages or film industries.

His next venture is said to be a remake of Bulupu (meaning arrogance) - a Telugu action flick starring Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan. Sudeep's last film Ranna which was a remake of Attarintiki Daredi which was a Telugu family drama starring Pawan Kalyan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Pranitha Subhash. The movie was a huge hit amongst Kannada movie audiences and is still gaining the actor some rave reviews.

Kannada producer N Kumar, was apparently in Hyderabad recently to seal the deal with PVP - the producers of the original movie. Sudeep, is also reportedly going to don the directors hat for this venture. After working 16 movies that were remade from various other film stories, he definitely knows the terrain. He has dipped into the directing inkwell before now giving audiences movies such as Veera Madakari (remake of Vikramarkudu) and Maanikya (remake of Mirchi).

With Ranna running to full houses in various cinemas, the makers have revealed that the next venture will be launched on Sudeep's birthday which is on the 2nd of September. It has also been revealed that Ravichandran will be playing the role of Prakash Raj in the original Telugu movie. The remaining cast are yet to be finalised and revealed.
