Russell Brand clicks selfie at Delhi airport

New Delhi, June 26 (IANS): British stand-up comedian Russell Brand, who arrived here on Friday, didn't miss a chance to click a selfie before clearing the immigration formalities at the international airport here.

In the selfie, the spiritually inclined Brand, dressed in a t-shirt -- which seems to have an image of a Hindu god -- has also posed showcasing a 'mudra' with his fingers, in an attempt to copy the multiple 'mudras' that adorn the wall of the immigration counter of the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

"I'm in India for @ccchucklefest tour! Come watch me! Tix at http://bit.ly/ChuckleWithRussell Â… #ChuckleWithRussell," Brand posted along with the image on Twitter.

Another image shared by him sees three attendants holding up placards, and one of them reads "Russell Brand".

The internationally popular comedian is in India for his debut tour. He is performing in the capital on Friday as part of the second season of the LIVE Viacom18 Comedy Central Chuckle Festival. The fest will also take him to Mumbai and Bengaluru on Saturday and Sunday.

Brand developed a special bond with India after tying the knot with his now ex-wife Katy Perry in India back in 2010.
