Mumbai, May 5: A self-proclaimed godman was arrested on Friday along with his two accomplices for allegedly molesting a 25-year-old married woman who had approached him to solve some domestic problem, police said.

Javed Shah Baba alias Shaizaad was arrested along with Mohammed Salim Ansari and Naseer Salim Ansari for allegedly molesting the woman inside his office in suburban Goregaon on at least two-three instances, they said.

"The victim had approached the 'Baba' to solve a marital problem some months ago and was charged Rs 2,000 by him promising that the problem would be solved after he performs some superstitious practices," an investigating officer said.

It was not fruitful and the woman started going to his office demanding back the Rs 2,000 she had paid. And he molested her on three such instances, the last one being on Thursday, he said.

The trio has been booked for cheating, outraging the modesty of a woman and criminal intimidation and would be produced for remand in a local court on Saturday.
