Arrest warrant for Madhya Pradesh BJP MLA


Tikamgarh (Madhya Pradesh), July 3 (IANS): An arrest warrant was on Friday issued against a BJP legislator nearly a year after he and four others allegedly beat up a Panhchayat official here, police said.

The warrant was issued by Chief Judicial Magistrate Ramji Gupta against BJP legislator K.K. Shrivastav and four others in the incident which occurred in August, last year.

It was alleged that Tikamgarh MLA Shrivastav beat up Udayraj Singh, a senior official in the district's Janpad Panchayat office, following a quarrel.
