'Girl could've been saved if taken to hospital with Hema Malini'

Jaipur, Jul 3 (PTI): Relatives of the four-year-old girl, killed in a car crash with Hema Malini's Mercedes, has alleged that the child was lying at the accident spot for nearly 20 minutes and could have been saved had she been taken to the hospital along with the BJP MP.

"Hema Malini was taken to a hospital in Dausa by a doctor immediately after the incident. He then took her to Fortis hospital while Sonam was lying at the spot for 15-20 minutes. Nobody asked about her," alleged Shirish Gupta, uncle of Sonam who succumbed to her injuries on way to hospital in Dausa last night.

"Had she (Sonam) been taken to the hospital along with Hema Malini, she would have been saved," Gupta said.

Sonam's father Hanuman Mahajan, his wife Shikha (35), Somil and Seema were shifted to the SMS hospital here.

Mahajan has filed a complaint with the Kotwali police station in Dausa against Ramesh Chand Thakur, who was driving Hema's car when it met with the accident in Dausa, 60 km from here.

Thakur was arrested at Kotwali Thana in Dausa.

Gupta said Sonam and others were taken to hospital by police.

The 66-year-old actress-turned politician underwent a surgery for her wounds at Fortis hospital here and was doing fine, doctors attending to her said. She was also treated for a minor fracture on her nose.

Leaving little Sonam injured and to bleed to death is an inhuman act. Well this is what happens to the Aam Aadmi in India when the incident involves VVIPs. While Ms Hema Malini could not be blamed for this as she would be in a state of shock which any injured accident victim would be, those involved in shifting Ms Hema Malini should be taken to task for the death of the child. Will Mr Narendra Modi speak on this during Maan Ki Baath and reveal his mind?

Hemal is not fit to be human being any more. After the injury she was in conscious and knew what was going on near by. As a human being she should have told them to take the critically injured baby to the hospital..but she was selfish...Hema is the one responsible for death of the infant..

it is shame for Hemamalini for ignoring the injured child and giving priority to her life. She use to give big speeches in favor or humanity and sacrifice for others. However, in reality she is selfish as other bjp leaders. These people are good in speech only and zero in practice. They are the most selfish people and that is the reason why they joined politics. We cannot find any SINGLE politician who is really favoring public. Everyone is busy in filing his/her own pocket. Politics has become business now and the more they invest the more they get back after winning election. YOu will find black mailers / druggists / rapists / terrorists in Indian politics.

As destiny is written by God, we don't know she could lived or not, but when they taking Hema malini to hospital, they should kind hearted toward that child and take her too with her, would be given treatment to save her life, and they not tried that.
May person is great or normal, human is human, and must be valued same like human.
May God comport the parents of the child to bear the loss, heal their wound heart

    RIP to SONAM.
    condolences to the deceased family.
This is what we will face coming years of BJP ruling. They donot care for common citizens, bcoz now they have majority in LOK SABHA.
I was watching TIMES NOW TV, show on Friday evening and looks our debating candidates donot respect each other specially BJP REP.
Even this incident they will not care even on TV SHOW, they will justify that their MP is correct.

The parents of the girl had her in the front seat on the lap without a seat belt. Driving on a highway, the parents also need to be held for criminal negligence. Whether Hema Malini's driver is responsible is another issue and the court will decide. The judge should through the book at the parents and lock them up too for negligent behaviour. When will the stupid Indian population learn to use seat belts?

Forget if it was non-hindu child we know your party ideology may stop you from helping. But Hema this child was a hindu at least on that basis you should have helped. Life of a young child is far more important than any VIP, but it is a tragedy to watch the discrimination of human beings in India.

While driving in an hot day, I found a man laying on the roadside in an exit, stopped the car and called 911 and the ambulance came and took him to the hospital. With all the moral decay, crime and drug problems etc in the U.S., something greatly touched me was their concern for the human life of any color or nationality when they are in danger, and in life and death situation.

Hope and pray that this event may force her to make a detour in life to exit from politics, and guide her to do some humanitarian service for the rest of her life.

she is under contract with "Kent" water filters to look pretty without any flaws on her face. Otherwise, how will she make crores if there are scars on her face? As far as she is concerned, she has to get immediate treatment and has to be rushed to hospital first, otherwise she might lose advertising revenue. Others can die on the wayside, but she has to look beautiful...
