Mangaluru, Jul 6: At a press meet conducted at its office in State Bank here on Monday July 6, CAMPCO Ltd announced they will be exporting processed arecanut to China.

Konkodi Padmanabha, president, CAMPCO Ltd said, "The second round of meetings has been conducted with China's Kou Wei Wang (king of taste) company which produces mouth fresheners. In the first phase there is demand for 32, 000 quintal from China. Mouth freshener produced out of tender arecanut has high demand across China and this company is number one in China. In Hunan province of China there are ten more companies which produce these products. In China there is a total of 1, 22, 000 metric ton arecanut which is way low from the demand. We are starting the processing unit in Puttur and will send one container at the earliest. If it clicks then we will increase the export."
