Heavy rain affects traffic in Delhi, NCR

New Delhi, July 11 (IANS): Heavy rainfall in the national capital, Gurgaon and Noida on Saturday led to water-logging in many areas, disrupting traffic and causing difficulties to commuters.

The Delhi traffic police said there were gridlocks in many parts of the city including Mahipalpur, ITO junction, Sri Aurobindo Marg, Kalandi Kunj, New Friends Colony and Sohna Road near Gurgaon.

Many parts of Lajpat Nagar, Defence Colony, Punjabi Bagh and Seelampur are submerged in water, police said.

The heavy rainfall and the water-logging have left the commuters clueless.
