Kundapur, May 17: The DYFI has urged the government of Karnataka to withdraw the case against nineteen students and to suspend the sub-inspector Yogish with immediate effect.
Some hundreds students recently staged a peaceful protest in Hassan against the rise in bus passes by KSRTC.
It is said that it was a peaceful protest by the students. But the police led by SI Yogish arrested nineteen students and filed a chargesheet against them.
DYFI said that these students are innocent and that police have gone against the law. Hence SI Yogish should be suspended.
