Louboutin's red soles to make Sabyasachi's show 'more special'


New Delhi, 20 July (IANS): Popular Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who will open the Amazon India Couture Week 2015 later this month here, says it will be even more special as the iconic red soles by French footwear designer Christian Louboutin will be seen on the ramp.

“We are delighted that Sabyasachi Mukherjee opens the Couture Week. His collaboration with Christian Louboutin brings to Delhi a bonanza of design expertise,” Sunil Sethi, president, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), said in a statement.

Spanning five days, the Amazon India Couture Week 2015, will be held from July 29 to August 2 at Taj Palace Hotel here.

“FDCI presents Amazon India Couture Week, a stellar showcase bringing forth the best of India’s fashion and it is indeed a privilege to be chosen to open the week. This year, the show will be even more special as the iconic red soles by Christian Louboutin will be seen on my ramp.

"It will be a unique shoe collection resulting from first time ever creative collaboration between Christian Louboutin and me," said Sabyasachi.

To mark the creative collaboration, Louboutin will be especially flying to the capital for the show.
