Udupi: Elderly man electrocuted at Kaup

Udupi, July 28: In a tragic incident, a person in Kaup, Kalya had a tragic end after he came in contact with a live electric wire on Monday morning, July 27.

The deceased has been identified as Kaup Kalya resident Guruva Devadiga (60).

He was working in Kaup Laxmi Janardan temple as a musical instrument server. The incident occurred when he was on his way to temple in the morning as usual. The neighbours who saw it informed his house people. 

He is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters.

Urban development and Udupi district in charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake and former MLA Lalaji R Mendon visited the place.

Kaup station police have registered a case and are investigating.
