NSS award ceremony held at Mangalore University campus

Mangaluru, July 29: Mangaluru University held a university level selection and training camp for National Service Scheme (NSS) from July 21 to July 27 followed by an award ceremony of university level national service project for 2013-14 and 2014-15 at University campus, on Wednesday July 27.

Three awards each were presented in three different categories. The categories were best National Service units, best national service project official and best social workers. 

Best NSS officer award went to Dr Nagaratna K A, professor of zoology department, Mangalore University, and best NSS volunteer award was given to Shyamprasad of third year BA.

Mangaluru university registrar professor P S Yadapadithaya gave a concluding speech. Dr Gananatha Shetty, liaison officer and joint secretary of national service scheme was the chief guest.
