Mangaluru: Man who stole motor bike arrested

Mangaluru, Jul 31: Personnel of police city crime branch (CCB) arrested a person who allegedly stole a Bajaj Pulsar motor bike about a month back from near Hosangady Junction in Kasargod district. The arrest was made on Wednesday July 29.

The arrest was made by CCB police inspector, Valentine D'Souza and personnel. When the police team was on its rounds, the personnel saw that a person named Naushad (37) from Kuthar Padavu was moving about suspiciously in the parking lot opposite Hassan Chamber near Yenepoya Medical College at Nityananda Nagar Deralakatte here. On questioning, Naushad confessed to have stolen a motor bike. He had replaced the number plate of the bike with a fake one.

Naushad already faces three cases of communal disturbances filed in 2006 in Ullal station and two cases of assault at Konaje station. Naushad and the motor bike seized from him were handed over to Ullal station for further steps.
