Bengaluru, Aug 5 (DHNS): A woman who claims she was raped by seer Raghaveshwara of Ramachandrapura mutt in Shivamogga district has told a team of the National Commission for Women (NCW) that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) was delaying the probe in the case.
The team led by NCW chairperson Lalitha Kumarmangalam met the victim Premalata on Tuesday and collected information about the recent developments in the case. “We told the NCW the CID was not following proper procedure and that the accused has not been subjected to certain medical tests. The pontiff and the mutt are trying to banish our family,” a family member said.
