Canadian TV host Chris Hyndman dies at 49


Toronto, Aug 5 (IANS): Chris Hyndman, the host of a lifestyle TV show in Canada, was found dead in an alleyway here. He was 49.

The body of Hyndman, a co-host on "Steven and Chris" with his husband Steven Sabados, was found on Monday with no vital signs in an alleyway here, reports eonline.com.

"It is with profound sadness that we share the news Christopher Hyndman died early this morning. We extend our deepest sympathies to Steven, family, friends and colleagues; our thoughts are with them all," read a statement by the show's social online networking Facebook page.

Hyndman was born in Newfoundland. In 1992, he co-created The Sabados Group, a design company, with his longtime partner, Sabados.

They broke into TV with "Designer Guys", a HGTV (Canada) lifestyle show, and even authored "Designer Guys: Finding Your Personal Style". Along with Steven and Chris, the pair launched a home décor line that features furniture, textiles, decorative accessories and area rugs in 2007.
