Nottingham, Jun 10: To Mark the Anniversary of Mangalorean United Konkani Association once again the members came under one roof at St.  Theresa’s R.C Church Hall, Kingsbury Drive, Aspley Nottingham On 9th June 2007 for  election of New office-bearers.

The out-going President Vincent Dsouza welcomed the   members. The meeting Commenced with the Prayer.

On this occasion new   committee was elected for the years 2007- 08. The following members elected unanimously.

President :  John Peter Fernandes
Vice President : Dorothy Prakash
Secretary : Suneeta Rodrigues
Treasurer : Conrad Aranha
Cultural Secretary : Sunil D’cunha and Mr. Vincent D’souza.
Communication Coordinator : Praveen D’souza
Liturgical Secretary :  Anita Sequeira

Additional  Committee Members :
Joy Pinto, Melwin  Dsouza, Deena Pereira.

The out-going office bearers thanked the committee and the members for their consistent support during their term and wished new office bearers all success.

The Mangalorean United Konkani Association (MUKA) will strive to preserve the Konkan cultural heritage of the Konkani speaking people and bring them together under one umbrella by bringing them all together through various  cultural activities.
The activities planned for the year 2007-08 are as below,

Starting with “SUMMER DAY OUT” On Sunday 29th of July 2007 at Carsington Water Reservoir, and Wild Birds Sanctuary, Ash Bourne, Derbyshire.
• Monthi Fest
• Christmas Carols
• Easter Celebration

Meeting Concluded with new president addressing the meeting and Thanking God with a Hymn.
