Good initiative and effort to promote Konkani language.
When linguistic states were carved out in India, Goa was not taken over from Portuguese.
Therefore sadly separate state for Konkani speaking couldn't be made.
So Konkani speaking people are found scattered in Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and Kerala.
So Konkani language and culture couldn't be promoted at par with other languages.
